Howdy!
We are here on the beautiful Oregon Coast. There isn't too much for me to write about as it's all about the scenery. So I have tried to select some of mom's best pictures to highlight our trip. This is my view at my campground.
Stop 1: Port Orford
Mom had made reservations for us to stay at Cape Blanco State Park, but when we drove into the park my stomach sank as I could not figure out how mom was going to be able to direct dad to back into our spot. The red arrow marks the driveway, what you can't see is the car that was parked off on the left side.
Mom did her best, but that was not good enough. Lucky for us some nice men who were parked nearby we able to direct dad into our spot - mom shouldn't feel too bad as it took 2 men to get dad in!
After that mom and dad needed some refreshments, so they headed into town.
and enjoyed the views, even though it was cold!
and then headed to the small town of Bandon. We took a scenic drive along the ocean and stopped to walk along the ocean clifts. I had to stop and take a picture with my buddy.
then I went for a walk on the beach with mom
then back up on the clifts to enjoy the incredible views
Do you see the face rock? I do!
Our last day here we drove to Coos Bay and Charleston, stopping at each viewpoint along the way.
We got to the Florence Elks Rv park in time for lunch, a great park a few miles north of town.
The next day we headed north to Yachats and walked along the paved trail around the ocean clifts
The next day we drove to the Roosevelt Elk viewing area. We were lucky to see a small herd in the distance, too bad we forgot to bring our binoculars!
Back to Winchester Bay to see the Umpqua Lighthouse,
Brody
Beautiful, just beautiful! Love that lighthouse! Looks like you guys are having an amazing trip exploring!
